For all of the scenarios below please describe macronutrient metabolism identifying the dominating hormone(s) as well as participating tissues, metabolic pathways, key regulatory steps, and whether the pathways are in the cytoplasm or mitochondria. If it is pertinent, please also describe digestion and absorption of the macronutrients. Draw a set of figures for each question (do not copy and paste).
1. Amy wakes up at 9:00 AM on Saturday. The last time she ate was 11:00 PM the night before.
2. It is 10:00 AM and Amy has a breakfast of two slices of white bread with butter, bacon, scrambled egg, and 2% milk.
3. It is 1 PM she heads to the gym. First she jogs for 30 minutes and then does resistance exercise for another 30 minutes.
