DESCRIPTION OF THE TASK

Draft a real-life workplace situation in which you could demonstrate the principles of FUNDAMENTAL TECHNIQUES IN HANDLING PEOPLE

·       Principle 1: Don’t criticize, condemn or complain

·       Principle 2: Give honest and sincere appreciation

·       Principle 3: Arouse in the other person an eager want

You may find some examples below. You need to draft similar workplace situation for your project deliverable.

Example 1:  As a product development team, you need to prepare a presentation for stakeholders. But your team leader didn’t clarify his expectations. Because of priorities and targets aren’t clearly defined and assumptions are made by staff members. Some of the staff doesn’t want to take responsibility.

Example 2:  As a marketing team you will have a big product launch. Your marketing agency have prepared their campaign ideas with you, as a team you liked all the ideas except one of them. But your CEO doesn’t agree with you, he/she wants to use the idea that you didn’t like. She/he wants you to conduct marketing survey about the idea but you are thinking that this is waste of time.

The task consists of 2 parts:

1.     Explain a real-life situation in the form of a story. Invent characters and give them their voices; make up places and events that happen in the story.

·       List the principles that this story talked about and explain how the principles are connected to your story.

Your story should demonstrate at least 2 principles and should not be less than 250 words (Total 100 points).
