As part of CPD3, student will use the information gathered from CPD1 and CPD2 will continue alone starting with a simple experiment on emotions and facial expressions.

The experiment is to take or find (collect pictures from the internet) pictures of different subjects/individuals showing the different emotions they have chosen for CPD1.

After conducting the experiment, students must prepare a power point presentation of their results.


The PowerPoint should answer the below questions:

·       Where did you find the subjects showing the different emotions on their faces?

·       What emotions were easy to be identified?

·       What emotions were difficult to be identified?

·       Did you find more males or females showing different face expressions?

·       What did males identify easily? What about females?

·       Are there age-differences on identifying emotions? If yes, what are those?

·       What can you conclude from the experiment?



The PowerPoint should reflect the below points:

·       Creativity – PowerPoint showing that the idea is truly creative, and that it only came about after much thought and consideration.

·       Originality – Product shows considerable originality and inventiveness. The content and ideas are presented in a unique and interesting way.

·       Use of colors/graphics – All colors/graphics are attractive and support the theme/content of the presentation.

·       All parts of the task are completed fully and support the theme/content of the presentation.

·       Sources – All sources (information and graphics) are accurately documented in the desired format.



Follow the below instructions carefully:

·       Prepare a 10-to-15-slides-long PowerPoint presentation to be submitted. 

·       The presentation should clearly answer the different questions mentioned above before inserting the pictures.

·       Prepare clear pictures to identify the difference between emotions.

·       The presentation should clearly showcase the different emotions.

Ø  Do not forget to put a COVER SLIDE with ACM logo, name, ID, and the title of your presentation

Ø  Font Size and Type: 12-pt. Times New Roman Font

Appropriate amount of material is prepared, and points made reflect well their relative importance.



There is a conclusion summarizing the presentation.
